This is our vice president Rogers Grady's wild ride. Its a 1936 Plymouth business coupe. His engine of choice is of course a 392 hemi with a 6-71 blower and a Crower 4 port injector running on alcohol. This wild ride is even running a 4 speed transmission! Wow look out he just might be taking the scenic route down the 1/4 mile ! |
Here are some construction pictures of the Flywheelers new drag car. The body skin is a 1930 Chevy 2 door sedan that we chopped and channeled over a 168" wheelbase chassis. The interior is aluminum and all roll cage inside. The engine is an alcohol injected 406 SBC driving a Powerglide transmission coupled to a 9" rear with 4.10 gear rolling 12.5 x 33.5 x 15 Good Year slicks. The car should tip the scales around 1800# race ready. It is our hope to run this car in the mid 8 second range at around 150MPH. The body will be painted metal flake white with our clubs name & logo done in candy graphics and the chassis will be metal flaked silver. From the ground to the highest part of the roof this car is only 44" tall. |
